At Crown, we are dedicated to reducing our impact on the environment, both at home and around the world. Part of this means informing and supplying our customers with a range of options to suit their individual needs, that work with their own sustainability goals.

Renting a machine

Renting a machine may not seem like an obvious sustainable switch, but it is worth considering when looking for your new water cooler or coffee machine. As you don’t own the machine, we provide regular maintenance and sanitisation checks to your machine. This helps it run at maximum efficiency for longer. It also means that when a problem arises, we are on hand to come and help fix the problem. Meaning you don’t have to buy a whole new machine if something goes wrong.

If we find the problem can’t be fixed, we bring machines back in house to work on in our workshop. Any machines that can’t be fixed are then recycled according to WEEE regulations. Ensuring your old machine is not just sent to landfill.

Mains Connected Coolers

Installing mains connected coolers require a bit more work, but they are worth it for the savings long term. These machines are plumbed into the mains water supply, delivering you water instantly and without the need to check or replace water bottles.

Bottle deliveries cause excess CO2 to be released during their travel from our base to you. By installing a mains connected cooler, you cut out the need for these deliveries. It also saves you space and money. Because you won’t need to find a place to store the bottles and you won’t need to purchase water when you’re running low.

If you are worried about the taste or quality of mains water, we have a few sustainable filter options. Ideal for those who want the taste of bottled water, but without those extra deliveries.

Bottle Fillers

Bottle fillers have become an increasingly popular choice among those needing high demand access to water at all times. They are plumbed into the mains water and require no other energy to function (other than the batteries for the bottle filler counter). These machines have an LED display to show how many single use plastic bottles have been saved from landfill by using it.

Disposable Cups

We understand that for many of our customers, disposable options are necessary for your using your machine. It is why we have only stocked recyclable options for over 6 years. This means you can give your customers their own cup, whilst knowing the cup can be recycled after usage.
