Water Hydration Association

We believe it is important to be held to high standards, to ensure our customers are receiving the highest quality service we offer. Being an accredited member of the WHA is one of the ways we do this.

The WHA is the leading association in the Water Industry. It provides training and information, as well as regulations that help ensure quality to the consumer.

To maintain standards, the WHA has close relationships with the FSA, Environment Agency, Trading Standards and Environmental Health Departments. These relationships help inform their regulations and strict Bylaws which all accredited members must abide by. Part of this is making sure all members are rigorously audited annually, to ensure compliance.

Codes of Practice

As part of our membership, we adhere to the WHA’s strict Code of Practice. This encompasses both bottled and mains connected water coolers.

In legislation, bottled water is defined as a food product. This means it needs to meet specific standards throughout its lifecycle to be within safe guidelines. Part of this includes, storing the water safely, having the cooler positioned correctly and carrying out regular maintenance and sanitisation. These are all things we consider and carry out whilst assessing your site, installing your cooler and during regular service calls.

Maintaining our accreditation

All members of the WHA are put through rigorous annual and mandatory audits to maintain WHA standards. These include visiting our site and analysing our processes to make sure they are fit for the consumer.

Our staff are also required to undergo specific training to ensure they are aware and work to the WHA guidelines. This helps us maintain our standards when installing and carrying out regular maintenance on your water coolers.

Sustainability
In 2017, the WHA created 5 pledges to increase sustainability in the water industry. All members are encouraged to support these pledges to help improve their sustainability too. Some of the ways we comply with these pledges are:

  • Keeping within a 90-mile radius from our base – this allows us to focus on our customers and reduces the area our vans are travelling.

  • Recyclable options – we provide a wide range of one time use recyclable cups, lids and stirrers for our customers to purchase. Giving them a more environmentally friendly option for their use. To find out more about the sustainable choices we make, take a look at this page Sustainability

  • We give back to the local community – The WHA pledges aren’t just about the environment globally. They encourage social sustainability. We give back to a range of charities local to us, including the Newbury Soup Kitchen, Swings and Smiles and Time to Talk. To find out more about the charities we support, click here Charities.
